Choices for your Child after Lindsley Park….
We are excited about our upcoming meeting entitled, “Fourth Grade Options”. We have an expert line-up of featured speakers, composed of alumni graduates from our schools and their parents. They have the best and most accurate information, from a student and parent perspective, about the transition from our school to their new schools. They will help answer questions regarding admissions, school programs, and other key points from their experiences. We’ll also provide you with a packet of information, with details of meetings, admissions processes and contact personnel. We look forward to you joining us for this event. Third grade parents are strongly encouraged to attend, but any parent is welcome to join us in this discussion. (Childcare is provided for children three years an older)
Notes: The date has been changed from the original school calendar. This meeting will be on Thursday, November 15th, starting at 6:30 at LPCS in Mary Loew’s classroom.

Hearing and Vision Screening…
State law requires us to screen all children who were four and five as of September 1st, and all first and third graders. This screening will begin the week of November 26th. Parents will be notified if the screenings turn up anything that should be followed up with your family physician.

Fourth Grade Options: Choices for your Child After Lindsley Park….
The choices for your children when they leave Lindsley Park after third grade are numerous. But admission to many public schools, like charter schools or Vanguard schools within the Dallas Independent School District, requires planning, submission of evaluations, and – sometimes – testing. The procedures are much like admission to private schools. Now is the time to plan for this important transition in your child’s school life. This program is especially for parents of third grade children at Lindsley Park and East Dallas, but all parents are welcome. Childcare provided for children three years and older.
- When: Thursday, November 15th @ 6:30 PM
- Where: Mary Loew’s elementary classroom, Lindsley Park Community School

LPCS’ staff would like to thank the hospitality committee and our parents for organizing and preparing the delicious food for our second fall parent conference. as always, you all did an amazing job!
LPCS pumpkin patch is today @ 3:00 pm.
This is a fun school wide event. Come decorate a pumpkin and take it home!
(Donations are welcome to help offset the cost; there will be a donation box at the event and in the office for one week after the event)
Thank you for your support!
